Assessing Young Learners helps teachers to access children’s progress in English, in a way that is appropriate for young learners. Jargon-free and practical, it shows that assessment can be fun and motivating, and integrates assessment into teaching. It helps children to think about their own progress and encourages teachers to reflect on their pupils’ learning. It includes marking schemes, portfolio assessment, and can be used in preparation for th UCLES Young Learners tests.
